Scaleup Cruise Zurich 2026: Swisspreneur's Flagship Event for Founders and Investors
Every September, one of the most selective startup events in Switzerland doesn't happen in a conference center. It happens on a boat.
The Scaleup Cruise is Swisspreneur's flagship event: three hours on Lake Zurich with the founders and investors building the Swiss startup ecosystem. This year, Streaver will be on board for the second time, and this time as the technology partner behind Swisspreneur's AI assistant. Here is what the event is, how it works, and where to find us on deck.
What is the Scaleup Cruise?
The Scaleup Cruise is the annual flagship event of Swisspreneur, Switzerland's reference platform for entrepreneurship. It is best known for its podcast, where Swiss founders have explained how they actually built their companies across 570+ episodes.
Unlike most startup events in Zurich, the Cruise is deliberately small. There is no stage with rows of chairs and no expo hall. The evening runs on themed discussion tables, a fireside chat, and the kind of networking that only happens when nobody can leave the boat.

Scaleup Cruise Zurich 2026: date, time, and format
- When: September 10, 2026, from 6 to 9 PM
- Where: Lake Zurich. Boarding at Bürkliplatz, Zurich
- Who: more than 150 founders and investors
- Format: themed discussion tables, a fireside chat, and open networking during a three-hour cruise
- Access: by invitation: the attendee list is curated by Swisspreneur
Who attends
The list is what makes the event. Swisspreneur curates it around founders of product companies, from seed-stage startups to established Swiss scaleups, along with VCs and operators from the Swiss startup scene. If the Swisspreneur podcast is where Swiss founders tell their stories, the Scaleup Cruise is where they meet each other.
Why Streaver will be on board
Last year, Fabián Larrañaga attended the Scaleup Cruise representing Streaver. We came back convinced the Swiss startup ecosystem was one we wanted to build in, not just visit.

A year later, that is what changed. Streaver is now the technology partner behind Swisspreneur's AI assistant: the widget on their site that turned 570+ podcast episodes into an archive you can ask questions to. Every answer cites its source: episode number, exact quote, timestamp, and a direct link to Spotify or Apple Podcasts. The architecture keeps the cost at USD 0.02 per answer, sustainable for a community's budget.
"They didn't sell us on the magic. They built a one-hour proof of concept that showed us exactly what was possible and where the trade-offs were. That's why we trusted them with the archive."
Silvan Krähenbühl, Managing Director, Swisspreneur

Meet us on Lake Zurich
Two of the people behind that work will be on board on September 10: Federico Kauffman, our CTO, and Martín Feldman, Team Leader and Senior Software Engineer, one of the engineers leading the project. He is already traveling through Europe and joining in Zurich.
If you're attending, come find them. Ask about AI in production, about getting from a demo to a system users trust, or about why an engineering team from Montevideo keeps showing up in Switzerland.
Not on the boat? We can still grab a coffee. We will be in Switzerland for a few days before and after the event, and in October we will be traveling through the United States. If you're around for either, don't hesitate to write to us.
